Typically all real estate activities of a licensed individual need to take place under the supervision of your brokerage.

And most kids don't play well without adult supervision. 

You were not equipped to supervise this project in the manner you chose to, but you took the burden on.You're goddamned right the landlord "distanced himself" during the renovation. 

Who will supervise the remodeling?

If it's the same Agent or the same Broker supervising both Listing Agents, you MIGHT have a better chance, but I wouldn't bet on it. 

IMHO, and being a control freak, as Owner of the property I would prefer to be there to supervise the install, make sure it was done properly and to my satisfaction, and make sure nothing was damaged or stolen.

So they closed down a few hospitals with the goal to house these people in the community with support services (think of group homes or supervised living).

This has nothing to do with real estate license law and everything to do with cities trying to tax you through licensing fees and control you through property inspections.These are mostly new regulations in the past 5 to 10 years.And out of state owners, note if you hold property in Missouri and hire a property manager, that based on real estate license law your property manager needs to be working under the supervision of a real estate broker and anyone within that management firm that negotiates contracts with owners to manager or leases with tenants, all need to be properly licensed.
