You can scout for owners there and then DM them about how you can help. 

I have been spending lots of time on neighborhood scout and have created a spreadsheet of many different cities.

I've been to Birmingham several times in the last few years, but never to scout the city for property (visiting UAB Hospital). 

any time I'm considering an area that isn't nearby, I plan a vacation to that area to scout out the area. fly or drive there and spend a day driving round the areas you're thinking about.

Neighborhood scout has it 10/10 for this century.  

I know it is a much more accurate marketing but given that I have a VA scouting CL I would like to maximize that tool as well.Thanks all again for your valuable input. 

Trips away become "scouting trips" and are again, a write off.

Maybe you ought to have her scouting deals for you in the real world :D

Curious, what software do you use to scout for deals?

I think there was a tip in one of the podcasts that I liked - check out Home Depot early in the morning (like 6:30am) and scout for people who are actively doing contract work.
