Even if they smoke outside their clothes bring the nicotine  into the closets. 

There is a closet (small) in the basement I was going to lock and use it to store left over paint and a few odds and ends. 

Where/How do i find the best portable storage containers? 

I try to estimate consumables such as soap, shampoo, tea, coffee etc for 6 months quantity and stock the locked closet with that much.
