There are plenty of books and a web site such as this has plenty to read and learn as well as pod casts to listen to.All three partners should spend the next 6 months learning and practicing property evaluation.You also need to organise a experienced team in the field of investing you choose...lawyer, accountant, agent, financing, insurance broker, contractors etc.In real estate you can win big but many will lose bigger through ignorance more than any other cause.You will be a step ahead if each of you have a high credit score and no bad personal debt (credit cards, car loans, student loans, personal loans etc.

I've been listening to the pod casts and really like it.

I have been reading Bigger Pockets for a couple of months and listening to most of the pod casts which helped convert me into REI full time.

@Adrian Thomas first off, i hope real etstate provides for you in the best way possible so your little girls can have their father around. in the mean time, since you spend a lot of time driving there are some fantastic pod casts on bigger pockets and great audible books. also look into real estate investor groups in your area and attend to network and learn. good luck to you!

I’ve been reading and studying real estate books and pod casts for about 1 year and a half now.

No matter what happened I'm going to do what ever it takes to flip my first house by the end of 2017.As I was YouTubeing I came across biggerpocks pod cast and was very interested to learn more about this company!

those are old pod casts and the 2% rule which can be great for cash flow if you can scale to a lot of them,, but it kills appreciation which is were people make their fortunes generally.. unless again you can scale and get to 50 to 100 2% SFR's then its a business its not an investment and you WILL work for your money

Check out the pod casts as they are extremely helpful in learning the lingo of real estate investing.
