That has to come from your heart after you've done a deep soul search to determine what it is you want out of all of this.

Most importantly I value my family over anything and want to make the most of my youth years than giving 40 hours  a week to some company until I am washed up and they replace me with another youthful productive soul. 

It really is/was a way for those with a pretty good amount of money to put a small amount of that large pot to work in something that if it worked, great, but if not OK they lost some of their principal but when you are worth 10+ figures already it's not soul-crushing.

Building an empire takes time some people sell their soul (credit/assests) to the devil to keep getting deals, even with bad cash flow. 

I'm an old soul who got the pleasure of being raised by her grandmother, I have never seen a harder working woman than her!

You forget, we're brokers -You can wade thru the ocean of our souls and barely get your feet wet.:) 

Sometimes, it's more work than it's worth, even with the split commission.You don't say whether you're changing careers, but I'd do some soul-searching before getting the license.
