Beginning my Journey in. Real Estate

Hello all BiggerPockets members looking to get some feed back on what I have done so far to get prepared to start my real estate investing. To start off I am living in Kentucky and looking in areas around central KY to do my investing. in the past month I have finished " How to Invest in Real Estate" by Brandon Turner, Joshua Dorkin and " The Book on Flipping Houses" by J Scott. Both amazing books and I have learned a lot and plan on rereading in the near future. so I believe I have a little bit of knowledge on the lingo that is used to grasp some of the post. the hardest part I am having trouble with is choosing my niche, I really like the longevity of rentals, but also the semi quickness of flipping. My first plan was to take 2 or 3 flips to learn the most about rehabbing and any other things I can learn through that experience. then take the money earned through the flips to put into rentals. a part of me thinks that is an amazing way to get into it but listening to what books and podcast say about focusing on one niche I feel like it can be to much. If anyone has done this there first time I would love any tips you have. thank you to all who reply and look forward to making more post!!!
