What Works for acquiring more clients

Happy Monday BP Family!

For those of you who've gone the agent/ realtor route, what worked best for you to bring you clients? Actual clients who really wanted to buy, sell, or invest? I understand that different things will work better for different people. I just want to gain a little more perspective on how I may be missing more creative ways to build my business. All input and angles are welcome!

Hello @Beliria Sims,

You've received some great advice on here.

As a newer agents, building your book of business takes time because you need to 1. Learn the business and 2. Establish trust with prospective clients. No one will trust you more as a new agent with the biggest purchase/sale of their lives than people in your personal circle. @Jonathan Greene's advice is on point!... Thanks for the book recommendation Jonathan...

Create a personal circle/sphere of influence list with all of your friends, family, neighbors, former coworkers, etc. and contact them regularly.

Perhaps the best (and arguably most difficult) source of new business comes from calling "For Sale By Owner" listings on Zillow. These are motivated sellers who do not have representation from a Realtor and are a FREE lead source. @Deon Goodman has the right action plan.

Lastly, I agree with @Steve Morris. If you actively listen and genuinely express intent to help solve someone's problem, you are no longer looked upon as a salesperson... instead you're looked at as an advisor

Best of luck to you on your journey!

Abel
