Sometimes, these folks still slip through the cracks.

It was a tiny 3bed/1 bath home over by Lackland AFB.  

If it was an accident-storm, crack in foundation, etc, I would do the regular checks and rent to them provided you are fine with the pets.

Is the siding mostly intact and not ripped or cracked in multiple spots?

New mold resistant sheet rock and proper ventilation (we crack the top of the window when showering and run a dehumidifier) will work well 

It was our fault so it is what it is, but it sucks that an honest mistake that would have been a super tiny inconvenience for the guest ended up being a huge thing for us with a monetary fine and likely lots of money lost in future reservations.
