While browsing auction.com, Marshal and Hudson, and various other website it looks like they all just lead to a March 6 auction at the courthouse.

Most lay people don't know what to look for, or what is damage vs. normal wear and tear, or how to interface with the tenant. 

Our requirements were fairly straightforward: manage tenants, track/process rent, track expenses, accept online payments, decent reports (or give me the data so I can make my reports), have a decent interface and have good support.  

It was really important that the interface was user friendly from the investor's point of view, and yet robust enough to do everything we wanted it to do. 

The internet is a lot of things, but it is not a suitable substitute for real world experience at the interface of alternative asset investing and the tax code.Custodians are processors. 

The latter had very user friendly interfaces, answer guided questions which led to more specific questions.

By no means should you scrimp and cut corners, but maybe granite countertops and hardwood floors dont fit with the price range you can get at your location.Personally, I dont like dealing with people all that much so I use property management companies to interface with the tenants. 

The hardest part is the physical interface for everything. 

@Bernadeau Charles Most alternatives mentioned either require you have intermediate level of real estate knowledge or have a pedestrian user interface (I've used most of them). 

Is anyone familiar with a similar interface that doesn't cost such an exorbitant amount?
