But if you're planning on attaching that space to your existing home, that's another story.A local contractor, draftsman, or architect will be able to guide you here.

Maybe you can find some drawings of layout in old flyers or online.If planning has digital copies they won't give them to you as they belong to architect and owner of record.

I know it depends on many factors and variables such as how well an architect can work with City (how many plan revisions), if there’s other engineer reports required, and how competent of the GC etc.
