I'm a big fan of natural stone.If it's not your personal property and a rental, I would definitely leave it as-is (and not paint the woodwork either).Just my 2cents for what it's worth.

They have the time, energy and resources to make this happen.Been there and done that lollolDecided to never go down that path again.Picture this: It took myself and friend 3 days to paint the ceiling and walls with a flat and the woodwork with oil based.We slept in the house.
