It's not a book that I have ever heard recommended and I just happened to pick up at the library when I was browsing books.

I got the idea of a journal from the book Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill, which I discovered by accident when I was in my twenties (pre-Internet) and regularly browsed the personal finance section of the local bookstore.

There are many investors who live in NYC and are successfully investing out of state.Before you start your first investment - I would continue to read books, listen to podcasts, and browse through the forums.You may also want to attend a real estate networking event held in the city.There is a book by David Green called "long distance real estate investing".

Are you just browsing zillow looking for deals?

So I am new to this, but have been browsing through hubzu for  a couple months now.  

I've mostly been browsing the forums and binge watching the podcasts, but  the few people that I've already reached out to have been really great! 

I have been listening to the podcasts, browsing the forum, reading books, and analyzing deals (Excel nerd here).I want to use my time wisely now so that I am ready to go once I have the funds.Looking forward to hearing your opinions!

When browsing around Zillow, I found a mobile home in Santee with a sales price of $120,000 and a zestimate of $204,341.

I'm not looking to send direct mailers that is going to be thrown in the trash or pay to be on Zillow competing with 10,000 other Realtors in my area.Also, is there some kind of script or phrase used today to light a fire under buyers butts to help them speed up the process from just browsing to let's buy yesterday?

@Jorge Ydlibi I've used AirDna and also browsed various vacation home websites to get a general idea of what folks are listing comparable properties for.
