So maybe you pay $2000 for the HOA deed and then pay HOA monthly and you get to live rent free saving $1000-$1500/month rent for 6-12 months or however long it takes for foreclosure from the lender.

The only time you cannot is if you live rent free with a family member and you are 'not" on the lease or mortgage.

Nice to have the big 2 year goal thats aggressive but it may encourage you to take extreme risk....why not start with extreme smaller goals with shorter windows....ie....as an exampleOut of debt 3 monthsEmergency fund to $x six monthsDownpayment savings by 9 monthsBuy muti prop that allows u to live rent free by 1 yearEtc etc....If your able to beat your goals early you can then move faster
