Asking for a paranoid friend....Steve While the above poster took a macro economic approach to real estate you can break down columbus into so many different sub markets that not all of them are thriving and set for double digit growth.

I believe we are in a period of slow national growth for the next couple years, but that doesn't mean certain areas can't thrive.  

When I was in Ohio, our local town market was terribly depressed. 10 miles away a town the same size, same housing stock, was thriving.

But property managers will thrive.  

KW is probably the most closely related to a small firm that will allow you to do your own thing, and they offer that "power of positivity" attitude (some people find it silly, others thrive on it).
