It is in a small depressed community that is trying to be revived as a tourist destination.

People like to live near jobs and schools plus tourists and business travelers tend to be in these areas. 

Part of the reason is there is nothing that made it stand out.Charlotte is one of the fastest growing cities in the county, a day trip away from the beach or mountains, and has great weather, low crime, tourist attractions, and a great diversified economy.  

It's such a hot tourist area.

My reasoning with AirBnB is to target tourists (8.5 million supposedly go through the city each year).

We get 13 million visitors a year (and that number continues to climb), so 1000's of cabins are NEEDED to accommodate all those tourists.

Living in a destination location full of tourists has given me opportunity to purchase and hold potentially great rental/Air BnB properties.

We had a good tourist season earlier this year so we have reserves left.

The property is located in a tourist area and is lakefront, but seller had as their 2nd home.   

This is a tourist town with 2million + visitors annually.
