My yellowletters campaign only produced bad leads and my newspaper ad didn't get any results at all.

Been doing almost exclusively REO's lately, but as the market recovers I'm thinking there may be enough opportunities for pre-foreclosures and such again to get some old school marketing out.I used to do a ton of different stuff, but got most of my leads from my newspaper ad.

tpalm36 you can advertise on your local newspaper hang flyers in your target area or talk to friends or family members the birdogs i use are usually family, friends,realtors,mortgage brokers,the garbage guy ,your mailman,landscaper,even my barber i tell them if they find a property that i close on i'll pay them 1,000 to 2,000 cash!!!!!!

Check the newspaper for "money to lend for real estate" ads.

If you were to sell the number of someone who wants to sell their house to an investor, you could go in the newspaper and get some numbers for FSBOs.

Google (/Bing) users are serious.I'm not giving up on FB - I kind of see it as a modern alternative to running newspapers ads.  

**Place flyers and ad's in the newspapers, online media and create a website..stating our business name and our what it is we do.

I also go through the local newspaper and cheapy classifieds.

The list of how you can accomplish this is not exhaustive but to name a few includes website marketing in classifieds, social media etc. or paid ones such as gorilla marketing, newspaper, radio etc. 

The first deal was a wholesale, only because we had no idea what we were doing, and it was literately the FIRST call we got from our FIRST piece of marketing in a newspaper.
