. #1 should be obvious to the installer, as the edges should lock securely and without major persuasion. #2 means the installer probably didn't lock the edges properly or left too much gap on the sides where the planks can slide (should be 1/4" each side). #3 is most likely, from a floor that is too uneven or doesn't have enough subfloor support.

Now I would still have to work and it would set us back in how soon both of us could 'retire' but thats a sacrifice I would be willing to make for her and being able to show her how much farther ahead we would be than if we did nothing.Every person will be different (obviously) as to what will trigger this type of critical thinking and self persuasion.

Technology will never take the core human element out of the equation, things like: Initiative, leadership (and knowing when to follow), courage, honestly & fairness, good communcation skills/ability to listen, financial literacy, persistence/stick-to-it-tiveness, negotiating, persuasion, tactfulness, and so on.
