After I wrote that first check for half my profit, I never needed anyone else's help, but I was glad I bought dinner for someone who helped mentor me into the business and half of the profit on the first deal sure felt like a small price considering the alternatives.I am a fan of new investors being patient. 

I can and do pay cash for vacations, cars, gifts, dinners out, Christmas and on and on.

For those that are local, what are some areas that you would consider must see, and where are a few good restaurants for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

I was hoping to get a group of people together who are looking at either residential multis or small commercial multis that could meet up for lunch or dinner sometime here in Jax. 

But, if you guys would be interested in an impromptu meetup, for dinner or something, my business partner and I would definitely stick around and pick your brains about the area and investing market.

It may very likely have been done to house family of theirs, and / or have thanksgiving dinner with family. 

I would do the right thing by my mom and simply charge a fair rate for work I do, not require we go into a partnership that complicates things severely and changes Thanksgiving dinner forever.

A lot of travelers drive in and arrive late, unpack and work the next day so I try to think of it like "if I arrived in the evening and I want to cook up some pasta real quick for dinner or make some oatmeal for breakfast what are the basics I'd need?"

On the other hand, I've had a cheap base model GE at an Airbnb we rented, totally shred a dress I had worn to dinner.

It was a very good very long term friend of ours who is the one who introduced us leaving we made him a very nice birthday dinner—he left at 11 and was unlocking his own bike. the next day cameras were installed that only pointed at our door.
