Local Neighbor Bookings

I got a booking from a neighbor in the town next to mine, less than 15 miles away.

I will probably ask them some questions, but was curious -- how do other hosts handle local bookings?

I know of some who do not allow them, and others who have extra house rules specific to local bookings.

They have two reviews over the last 5 years of being on Airbnb, but neither former booking was placed locally.

Just makes me a little suspicious.

Edit: I just realized they placed the booking for Thanksgiving weekend. It may very likely have been done to house family of theirs, and / or have thanksgiving dinner with family.
