My mother owns a small house to which she has added a couple of big ticket item improvements.

My mother instilled great things into me, business and saving were the most important and I'm so incredibly great full so I have a solid nest egg that Iv built and saved.

The fridge kept frying its mother board at the first sign of lightening, the stove has a broken element and fried jet controller.  

My mother is older and has recently had alot of health trouble.

If possible, my best "motherly" advice would be buy NOW to live there while in school for two years (get a loan from your parents for the down payment?)

We also have someone who lives at the house (the Den Mother) as the point person to ensure everyone respects the property and one another.
