Old toilets can take as much as 3-5 gal per flush where the new ones are around 1.2 - 1.8 gal per flush.

If in doubt, replace the fill and flush valves on all the toilets ($15 worth of parts each, and less than 15 minutes each to change).

So figure wear and tear,, EXAMPLE for a 8 unit building2 br usually max of 4 people  that times 8 is    32 people with possible 32 cars,, 32 flushes, 32 showers, (hot water heater's aren't cheep) 32 people throwing out trash, 32 people using the washer / dryers/ and overall grimy hands on walls in hallways, and muddy feet on carpet.. usually more family type situations with smaller kids and more noise, more toys, and more people issues in general, like living in a jail they go bonkers1 Br usually max of 2 people that times 8 is 16 people,, so less of everything I'd take a 16 unit building much quicker than a 8 unit Studio's  are simple but rare to find a building with just studio's they are the best,, in my opinion.I have 4 studios and love it

They couldn’t get anything to go down when they flushed.Over the weekend, the tenants had plunged the toilet and had done everything else they could think of to get it to flush.

First the well water smells so I send multiple ppl out and all say it is ok but they still complain, then she claimed ants were invading ( I looked they were not) then the toilet wouldn't flush for two months they told my maintenance guy I said in front of them this is first I heard of it they didn't say anything, my plumber then told me there was nothing wrong with the toilet either.

If it's flush use a T molding, if there's a drop use a reducer.
