in my opinion, there are some things you can do yourself like demo, clearing landscaping, and throughout the job you can spot small areas to contribute, but any finish work that'll be visible to buyer should be done with skilled, trained hands.

The structure was being held together by old rotting joists, some sketchy early 1900s masonry and a large tree.We started to demo what was left while bracing the wall in the middle since there was nothing really holding it up.

I helped him do some of the basic stuff; removing carpet, basic demo, and landscaping, but he ended up getting an electrician to help out with putting in a second washer and dryer and someone to do flooring.

I know that is a long shot and probably not the right answer. 2: Demo the floor in my bathroom (which has new tile...) and access the pipe from that way.
