Worst case is a put a big expense on a CC and then pay it off as soon as I can get that $$ out, before I incur interest etcDON'T FORGET...... that cash you having sitting is actually losing value every day..... that $10 sitting there now is worth less next year.....its value is dropping somewhere in the 1-2% each year....so cash just sitting there is LOSING value every day..... so "earning" 0.5% is still a net loss.

You could use something like Mellio to have them send you a check, which charges their CC and they take care of the costs associated with it.

TIA Cut out the unnecessary expenses, pay off any CC bills and keep your current home.

In the 2012 timeframe, I used that technique with a 0% introductory CC for about $24K in renovations for an older house in Garner NC.

The quality of the neighborhoods isn't the best (mostly C/-C), and neighborhood quality can drastically  increase and/or decrease over just a few blocks, so make sure you know the area where you're buying.
