Owner/Occupants want function and style.Investors perhaps more numbers focused...probably want numbers to work day 1.Owner/Occupants....they'll stretch to make the numbers work....what can we cut to make our dream home work for us.Personally I don't think either thinks about exit strategies too much or maybe even not enough.I would say Owner/Occupants way way more focused on cosmetics and less about maintenance. 

That makes me even more suspect but that is just me.

I think their logic was that a family with 12 people (parents and 10 boy children) would have difficulty finding a suitable house with say 6 bedrooms.In addition to the Federal guideline, some local ordinances address occupants both tenants and owners. 

You could create passive income this way and it would make your listing stand out against all the other condo listings here in the area. 

Does anyone have experience borrowing money in the US to build in Belize?

I take it from your comment that your preference is to Ground lease?  

@Devin James I'm not currently doing it, but I've for sure toured some properties in my market that I think would make great candidates. 

Here is the main part of getting a good property: how experienced is he at assessing the needed repairs on a property?
