Looking to learn more about being a realtor

I am 17 years old and will graduate high school next year. I want to know if there is anything I can do right now that will help me in becoming a realtor in the future. I want to learn and get as much experience as I can. I am located in western Wisconsin.

You can probably start the education process at 17, then apply for your license once you turn 18. I know a young lady that just did that in my market, so she was licensed just days after her birthday.

What are you planning to do with the license? Real estate is easy to get into, but hard to earn a living. 87% of all agents quit within two years because they don't make enough money. It will be even harder as a young person with no life experience, and particularly no experience buying real estate.

I think a better option is to get a job in property management. Steady pay, you can learn how to manage property and deal with people, and you'll be licensed to handle sales on the side.
