Hi, I am a newbie investor from Singapore who is interested in investing in us property long term.May I know if anyone could advise me on some of the legal or financial issues that I could faced when buying in the usa?

They are mainly from Texas and California, but I have one as far away as Singapore.  

Some are local to my area, and some are as far as Singapore, London and Australia.  

I might consider it if this property was in the middle of a place like Singapore for example.

Many of the travelling road shows got outlawed from Singapore because of the loss's being taken by Singapore and Malay investors .. who got talked into buying into war zone Ghetto properties not understanding what they were and that US tenants by and large are and can be very tough to manage.

I am going to try to make it I have one of my partners from Singapore in town .. so this might give us something to do that is different and exciting...

Now I've been told the sellers are in Singapore or Milan and can't seem to get the consulate to notarize or do whatever it is they have to do before returning the papers and therefore unsure of when it can be done. 

I live in Singapore and have been investing in real estate flips in Nevada for about 2 years.  

My brother still lives that and does my recon, however he is in Singapore for another two week.  

I am living on the other side of the world from the US , Singapore.
