It seems everyone is trying to get too cute and pushing owner financing first most of the time now.

The answer is yes  a trashy house or yard next-door can have a negative affect on your rental.I have a cute little house fixed a really nice. 

I have come to realize that she really would prefer a single family home and keeps pushing the "cute" homes in our area.

Couple points on the area:Attractions:- Bethel Performing Arts Centre (outdoor music performances every weekend during the summer)- Short distance to ski hills in the Catskills region- Cute downtown area- Many lakes for summer activities- State parks, walking trails are plentiful.Neighborhood/Property:- Easily accessible to major highways- Residential neighborhood, cute streets and plenty of little cottages for summer getaways- Two bed property, spacious outside area, lots of wildlife aroundWould love some tips, suggestions for purchasing and operating in this area.
