I ordered a copy for about $20 online, but you may be able to track down a copy at a local bookstore that you can leaf through or perhaps the library has a copy.

How do you separate what you are calling nonsense vs. what is in books that might be helpful.Have you spent much time at a large bookstore browsing the RE section?

BP has a bookstore under the Education tab at the top of the screen, people on the site seem to rave about them so they are probably worth looking at.Aside from books you need to figure out what price point and strategy is comfortable for you and works in your area. 

Or browse through them at a book store, and just buy one at a time.
