For context, I spent a decent amount of time building AI tools in real estate and shared this article AI in real estate what is hype what is real in BP a a bit ago.If you are paying $250, and it is not making that money back, then it is wasted money. 

I've attended Cincinnati REIA twice and it's a little content and a lot of hype and a lot of newbies drinking the koolaide and paying the high membership fees.  

Nothing I’ve ever seen from Connected Investors was of any real value......just a bunch of rebranded hype for the delusional wannabe.

@Rami Khaldi the Columbus thing was just a bad joke toward the sales-y folks here that pop up with the same copied/pasted hype message.

Is hype or just getting started?

It is easy to poke holes at something that you don't understand and in some ways may be over-hyped and has a high dollar entry value.  

Personally, I think there is a lot of hype around wholesaling as a beginner because it has the "possibility" of doing it with low money, but talking from experience wholesaling is hard and is a TRUE grind when you are trying to get going.Like anything else, I think the fundamentals are not that difficult, but you have to be willing to stay with it for months and months with potentially no deals because it's the consistent follow-up for months that starts generating deal flow. 

HIGHLY recommend you STOP watching S8 YouTube videos and spend more time here reading posts about S8 to learn reality not hype.
