So many pet owners it would be difficult to rent them without allowing pets.I charge a $250 non refundable pet fee plus $35 each month for each pet.Check with your insurance carrier some dogs are prohibited.  

We will see how this plays out after the first front-page news security scandal hits the mortgage industry, following in the footsteps of the IRS, Experian, your health insurance carrier, etc...

They are an excess lines carrier and my insurance broker seemed to be cautious with insuring with them.

Is it underwritten by an insurance carrier?

Speaking on the insurance piece, some insurance carriers will give a discount if you pay for the insurance as opposed to putting it in the Escrow account-- less paperwork for the insurance company.

I hope the insurance carrier was notified of the incident (if not, the landlord may have defaulted on his policy) and the stairs repaired by a licensed contractor. 

I was just shopping around for primary residence home owners insurance and am running into a few issues with major carriers not wanting to insure my property. 

Any "what if" calls to your insurance carrier get logged in as claims so don't call any 1-800 numbers.
