Plus your investments are fully paid off, as noted above, that doesn't fit with REI, which is about leverage.You might be a Med student who is just starting their Internship, and wants to dedicate themselves to their career.   

I am running into this issue in another area, calling employers about internship opportunities as I am a college student, but I thought it was a relatively thought provoking discussion.

I'm a huge advocate of the internship/apprentice model.Hope this provides a little guidance!

Also, I did an internship at a property management company.

I am currently an undergraduate student and plan to move to Nashville for my internship at PWC next summer and then pursue my graduate degree afterwards.

(Have to finish an internship to graduate with a degree I'll never use).

I want to expand knowledge and learn more about real estate development including renovations,acquisitions,market research,etc...If anyone knows of an opportunity for this upcoming summer or if you think you could steer me in the Right direction for a good summer internship in the California area I would appreciate it.

I am trying to acknowledge the small accomplishments being made through the meetings, knowledge, and internship I have obtained.

There is a shocking amount of tourism there and young adults travel from around the county and the world to work at amusement parks and water parks in the area because the companies provide internships and work visas.
