How much time before calling again?

When calling agents, lenders, team members, etc., how many hours/days do you wait before calling again on a certain topic?

I am running into this issue in another area, calling employers about internship opportunities as I am a college student, but I thought it was a relatively thought provoking discussion. How long do you wait?
