By nature start up brands maybe have a 10 to 20 years shelf life as the world is constantly evolving and human needs change over time.What was prevalent today can be a distant memory tomorrow.

I own a single-family home in the Manassas, VA area and am contemplating a move back home to Portland, Oregon in the not-too-distant future.  

Realize that the whole real-estate agent intermediary approach keeps buyers and sellers distant from one another, and it's harder to establish a connection, so I try to get past that.I put together an actual letter and send as PDF or JPG so the buyer's agent has to give the whole thing to the buyer.

This is exactly what I imagine retiring to one day in the (hopefully not too distant) future-beautiful home on a large tract of land.

I do not think I could utilize the large basement for retail at this time, but possibly in the distant future.

Cast iron pipe of that age, is end of life - do not be surprised if it is weeping and flaking ... you will want to have it inspected and, quite probably, plan to replace it in the not-too-distant future.This is also most probably a converted house.  

Might it not really be worth it to even hunt for a property for Airbnb seeing as the model may become a dinosaur in the not so distant future?

Thus the return on these properties must be higher in these distant properties.
