Fort Lauderdale Newbie - Let's do this

Hello BP!

I came across this site from an article Brandon Turner wrote.  Relating to my age group and generation still paying college debt, building a career, but may or may not have a huge amount of disposal income and also not having the right social circles to discuss these types of topics.  The priorities and focus of 20-something year olds in Ft Lauderdale can be a mixed bag so I have landed here!

I am born and raised in south Florida, University of Miami alum, BS & MS in Biomedical engineering and now working as a Sales Engineer related to coatings and corrosion (exciting topic, I know).  Enjoy the job, I know I can't do it forever.

Investing, maybe with real estate, may give me that stability to not worry how long I will keep my job or where I will live, or what I have to do for a living.

Just read Rich Dad, Poor Dad, and well, have been learning about investing for the last 3-4 days.  Real estate seems to be a popular and exciting commodity to get into and I'm looking forward to the learning and journey.

Thanks in advanced!
