the wires were typically insulated and none of this is a really big deal... however when they would splice into this wire they would strip off some insulation and just twist a second wire onto the original... this is problematic.

I just want to make sure that when they apply and don't qualify that when they get turned down they don't feel like they have. because I have read and heard of a lot of stories where nothing was done wrong but things got twisted around.

You could modify the new lease/extension to allow that roommate a "gentle" exit, then have the other roommates source the new person and then you vet them.

I spend 3-4 hours per inspection and when I finally get to the interior it becomes a breeze, I've already identified area that need further investigation, and can look harder at those areas, but twisting a knob, closing a door, opening a window, etc takes seconds.
