Is this the definition of a scam?

Feels like a scam to get in the middle of a deal where someone adds no value.

So if anyone thinks, this question was asked not too long ago, that's because that's me and now I can reply :)So, my question was about this home title deed (scam?).

It's those maniacs that buy homes cash via quit claim deed off of craigslist that really get screwed.Make sure your property manager is a licensed real estate brokerage.Google Clayton Morris scam and/or Morris Invest scam for a cautionary tale of what not to do when buying turnkey real estateUnderstand you can not eliminate all risk, only mitigate it.

They often say it is a scam or that the coach will just take your money and not teach you anything or that you could learn everything you need to learn about real estate though reading books and listening to podcasts.

Frankly the whole scam might've worked if her scenario was a little more realistic.

I, like you I'm sure, don't want to get a deal tied up in a scam or problem vendor.
