The most important thing that VC's are looking for besides other things is "Positive Cash Flow" and "Execution".Once you gain real traction and show your analytic s for your business regarding growth ( month over month or week over week) with your ability to execute, then maybe you can have some heads turning your way.

I've been finding Zillow really helpful in evaluating properties by using the properties that are listed for rent nearby.I don't even bother with Craigslist because it's so antiquated, doesn't have any data analytics, or sales/rental history.Completely agree Zillow the way to go!

A lot of calculating, analytically-oriented investors get stuck creating spreadsheets and running equations and forget they actually have to BUY something at some point.Glad to have you here, and also utilize Meetup.com I found a lot of real estate groups on there (browser-based and iphone app) and you can get plugged in very quickly.My dayjob is real estate investing, so let's meet up sometime and go over your ideas!
