The most common wiring today is call Romex which is Flat three conductor wire with a plastic coating. 

It’s got s crawl space so fixes could run from as cheap as plastic sheathing over the ground to a pvc pipe vented out the side of the house. 

Plastic bottles, loose change, dust.

and they connect a plastic flex corrugated  4" duct into your attic and vent humid hot air into that space?

Chipping paint, plastic light fixtures, etc.

Or taping plastic sheets up as a vapor barrier?

They could also get those plastic runners and cover the whole floor if they want to.
