But we know from history that the last 5 recessions did not leave much of a dent in the home values, they were flat or even went up as people were looking for hard assets in uncertain times - with 2010 being the only exception (but it also started as a housing crisis - fundadmentally oversupply + subrpime mortgage defaults).
