Although, I have not personally used Neighborhood Scout’s premium service for their reports.

I figure the best and only way I know how to get started is to become a scout locally in the Dallas and Tyler Tx. area.

My partner and I will be in the area for several days in April on business and a bit of scouting.

Nothing personal, but neighborhood scout is about as bunk as zillow...I don't condone investing in Cleveland...I think the root of the question is barrier to entry...I don't doubt there is incredible long-term appreciation in San Diego, but buying at $900/ft. is impossible for most people...trust me, I have my eye on Bird Rock.
