I started with a $20,000 single family house because I was scared to do more than that. All the fears of a "Newbie" Investor: What if I lose money? I am not handy - who will fix something if it breaks? Where can I find a good deal? How do I even know its a good deal? Who can help me find management?lenders, attorneys, inspectors, contractors, private lenders, insurance, etc. Today, I have overcome those fears and have ownership in over 300 apartments units. I made a ton of mistakes during those first two years (including losing $40,000 on my first flip 😭😭). I have scaled up from single family homes, to 2-4 unit, to 5+ unit to being a general partner on a 125 unit apartment Syndication, but that's enough about me - I want to help you.
