I agree @Christian Bors , in my experience with other business ventures it is best not to partner with people you don't know. It's a real roll of the dice. This may be REI and that is new to me but business is business.

Actually I found a REIA in Cape Coral and a REIA in Fort Myers. It looks like the Naples REIA may have closed. Does anyone have an information of a REIA in Naples?

Are there any wholesalers in the southwest FL area? I would love to have a talk with you. I have some questions about the market. Thanks

John Thedford Ok I have not looked into PML yet. I was considering using home equity for my first investment. But I am going to consider it once I figure out what direction to start.

Seth Nadreau I want to stay away from the golf/lifestyle communities because of the cost to carry for my first investment. I am trying to be more cautious. But I am also concerned that homes not in communities may be slim pickings in favorable areas. But I have to do more homework. I will check out the Estey Ave area you mentioned John Thedford for some reason PML is not registering for me. Please explain what that is. Thanks

John Thedford I am considering Lee county also. Not sure if I can land the annual rents there or in Naples that will bring a cash flow. I was trying not to go as far a Cape Coral. Do you recommend small homes outside of communities for rental properties?

Hi, Are there deals still to be had in Naples FL area? It seems like sky high HOA fees are killing the annual rental market. Contractors seem to be focused on big building projects and that seems to be driving up their rates. Any wholesalers/investors in the area able to provide some insight on how I should approach this area or maybe I should focus on Fort Myers area instead?
