Does anybody know how much section 8 offers in rent for 1,2,3 and 4 bedrooms in New Jersey?
Greg Mahanna ok that sounds like the right course of action. Totally appreciate it Greg. Brandon L. Absolutely that is where my head is at right now, my first deal. I just needed to know how people continued to acquire more and more properties. Nonetheless, great advice. Thank you gentlemen.
Brandon L. I'm in the process right now. I'm just thinking ahead. I want to acquire at least two by next year.. thanks for the reply.
After securing my first multi unit under FHA how do I purchase the next property without having the funds to renovate a new acquisition? I'm trying to gauge my steps and I was wondering how do I keep this momentum perpetuating to a successful portfolio with limited funds to work with? Any relevant advice would be appreciated. I'm investing in NJ. Thanks everyone.

@Account Closed Thanks for the advice. I have been looking at Elizabeth recently. I realize to make good money I have buy in real low.. I was looking under $200k but now I may try for under a $100k as my baseline.

Is there any other areas that's good to invest in besides Newark? Is it possible to get good cash flow elsewhere? It seems really hard d to find good deals in NJ.

I'm in the same bucket. I'm from Brooklyn looking into breaking into investment in NJ. I'm currently looking at a property in Newark as well. But to be honest it makes me nervous. I'm ideally looking for an owner occupant property to start with as I'm looking to move. Then I can leverage that property for my next investment. But I work in downtown Manhattan so it all has to make sense.

I'm new to this and plan on using the 203k loan to get me started. But its hard to recognize a good deal. The taxes in NJ throw your numbers way off and sometimes the possible rent in the area doesn't really cover the mortgage.

Am I being realistic? What are good areas with decent price points for me to look into? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I'm looking to make some allies here so all advice is welcome.

Thanks guys..
