I am very new to real estate and BP but I have been spending every minute of my free time reading books, blogs, articles, listening to podcasts, and talking to other real estate investors to try and soak up as much knowledge and advice as I can. I'm trying to decide what my plans and goals are so that I can strategize and get tactical in obtaining these goals. I would love for people to give me advice on buying my first property. Also, where do RE investors go to analyze and research cities/neighborhoods to determine whether or not a place is a good market and what are the key indicators that I should be looking for within those cities/neighborhoods.

@N/A N/A

I’m a 34 year old male moving to MN from Boston in December and I am looking to meet people as well. I am currently an executive assistant and a project manager at a small tech startup but I am looking to start investing in rental properties in the Twin Cities area. Feel free to message me anytime and maybe we can get together for coffee once I’m all moved and settled! I also have a background in construction so I am capable of doing lots of rehab projects on my own or with the help of 1 or 2 more people. Just a thought!

Best of luck!

I’m a 33 year old professional moving to Minnesota from Boston in December. I literally would do anything to get my foot in the door at a real estate company to Learn the ropes and become successful in real estate. It’s my my newfound passion and I’m basically looking for someone in the southwest Minneapolis area who is willing to look at my resume and have a phone call and hopefully find a way to get me involved! I’m hungry to learn and grow! I’m a hard worker with a thirst for knowledge! Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!

Are there any Boston real estate investing meetup groups that have networking events or anything along those lines? I'm basically just looking to meet people who are already doing this and who might be willing to let me just sit and listen and possibly network with other people in my area. So far this site and the community has been amazing and I am so glad that I joined! Everybody has been so friendly and willing to help someone new and I love that about this community!

I am currently an executive assistant for a tech company in Boston but I will be moving to the Minneapolis area within the next couple of months and I am looking to make a career change into Real Estate but I have no idea where to start. What should I be looking for as a position to get my foot in the door with real estate? I am willing and planning to get my real estate license but is there any entry level positions that don't require a license and that would get me started in learning the industry? Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

Post: New to Real Estate Investing and need advice!

I am a 34 year old executive assistant for a small scientific instrument company in Boston. My younger brother (32) and I have been doing a lot of reading and studying various investments vehicles. We have both decided that real estate investing, in particular, buy and hold rental properties for cash flow, is the route that we would like to go. I know this is a vague question and topic but I'm looking for advice as to where to start. What kind of tools should I be utilizing to analyze deals and what types of properties should we be looking into first? I'm currently watching the deal analysis webinar but I learn best by doing and by practicing. I live in Boston and have strong ties to Vermont so we were thinking it would be best to look in those areas first. I guess I'm just looking for guidance in getting started and what steps my brother and I should take first. I'm also just looking to build relationships with people who have the same interests and who have more experience and knowledge than I do (which is basically everyone on this site at this point). Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
