Have you checked out some of the local REI meetings in Brooklyn? You can meet plenty of investors there as well

My team and I are new to investing..we know someone who lives in Baltimore that suggests we take a look at Maryland to invest in an apartment building, but they're not into real estate so it was merely a suggestion. 

Is there anyone that is familiar with some maybe "B-"or "C+" areas in Maryland? Perhaps 10% cap rate? Maybe even closer to D.C. borders? 

Your input will be greatly appreciated.
