Yes @Ibrahim Hughes, any areas in Newark you suggest I look into, Preferably for a 3-4 unit?

Hello BPers.

Any suggestions on a place where I could find a multi family (preferably 3-4 units but hey, the more, the better) in petty decent condition (minor rehab is ok), C- area is ok, (no war zone) for under $200k

 Thanks to everyone on this post!!

I value everyone's opinion and/or insight.

Living in Brooklyn my whole life I definitely know how a town can go from what ppl called "Ghetto" to becoming one of the hottest markets on earth, so I just want to get in a market that's on the verge and I think Newark has that potential.

Hello BP....I'm looking to purchase property in Newark, NJ...I'm from NYC so for me, this is right next door. Can anyone let me know what neighborhoods to stay away from? Thanks.

@Amanda Dolan

If you have found a property that you might be interested in, go to "Property search-nyc.gov"...you type in the borough and the street address of the property and you'll be able to see the taxes owed, but most importantly, you'll see the owner's name and if the owner doesn't live there it may have the owner's actual address as well. It may take some time to figure out but don't give up! Much success!

@Daniel Soto

If you see the "we buy houses" signs in your area, it's a good chance of that sign belonging to an investor buyer or another wholesaler...call that number because either way, that person can help you, try to get at least 5-10 buyers...but honestly you can search for motivated sellers at the same time
