@Sterling Clifton Great start! If you find a deal in an older home where the numbers work, go for it. What is your bigger goal for real estate? You may want to sell all your properties one day to get into syndication and then the equity will be something you want. 

@Sarah Jukes All depends on your financial goals and if you want to work in your business or on it. Will you enjoy being an RE? Will you still work a W2 job? 

@Rob Horon I don't have experience but I have heard good stories from others. It is definitely allowed. 

@Sergio Zapata I would let it go or find someone who would insure it. It depends on much time you want to take on trying to get this deal.

@Joel Arangorin Reach out to the HOA president and ask about the criteria to rent. Some are very strict with renting out units.
