Rehabing HOA properties? Best choice?

Hi everyone,

Excuse my rookie question but I'm looking to get into REI and have decided to go down the BRRR path in my REI career. As I'm trying to find my market, before running any deep dive numbers I noticed that I find myself drawn to properties that are HOA. My question is for those who BRRR - do you find tons of roadblocks with the HOA when it comes to rehabbing those properties? If so, what are the most common issues? Is it recommended to stay from these properties?
