I own 1 rental property and was wondering if I need to go the cpa route. I have been doin my own taxes through turbo tax but this will be my first year with a rental. I bought the turbo tax for investment properties but have yet to open it since if I do I can't return it. .

They didn't know that seller can only give 3 % of purchase price. I had already made off and agreement on 2500 for closing but rules state only 3 % so I ended up only getting 1150 instead and couldn't go back and ask for lower price from seller

So I'm wondering if anyone else has had issues with their bank not knowing the Fannie Mae rules on seller paid closing costs? My bank really screwed me at last second making me come out of pocket. Thanks for any replies
