Hi @Dave Lion, Chitown fam. Chitown is my home and I've lived there the majority of my life. I am currently in Laurel, MD. I miss home so much. Welcome. I'm fairly new to BP myself. You will be able to do great in that market. I am thinking of relocating back home more now, since I've started my REI business. Always follow your gut. You know the Chi is all about show and prove so learn as much as you can and do a lot of research and base your decisions on facts is my humble advice. Good look and I look forward to your posts.

You have to really be committed to this to win it.  I am a newbie myself with a serious deep passion.  Meditate and ask yourself are you in this.  Do you love real estate?  Do you love a career that you will never be able to know "everything" in, yet you can succeed.  I haven't closed a de deal.  I just started a few weeks ago and now I'm sending out marketing materials.  Watch YT videos of people who are passionate and making it.   Supposedly this is a great forum (I'm a newbie and like to thus far).  Go to Vistaprint.com (or wherever you choose) and design some business cards, print some flyers on your own computer or at least create the flyer and print it and a printing store, and start marketing.  There's tons of free knowledge out there on YT.  I've been studying my butt off.  One thing, don't solely rely on others is my motto.  As I stay committed I am hoping to attract others who remember somebody helped them.   Good lock to you @Jennifer J    Good luck to us both!

Great post. IMO if you aren't a natural at networking REI will be a real challenge. I am so happy you went for it @Davon Lowery, Your story is motivating and I'm glad you decided to share it. Ditto to you @Michael Hicks. And yes @Juan Cristales! I'm here to network learn and make life changing decisions in REI.
